A Siloam Springs woman is denying allegations that she attempted to frame her husband by using a phone to download child porn as well as telling police he raped a 13-year-old girl.

According to CBS affiliate KFSM, 33-year-old Cherie Renee Bolton pleaded not guilty to filing a false police report and possessing child porn.

In a probable cause report, Siloam Springs police say Bolton told them she downloaded the images after using methamphetamine and "in the middle of a manic episode." She allegedly told police she was upset her husband wouldn't allow her to see their kids.

She first reported to police in May 24, 2017 that her husband attacked her when she caught him raping the 13-year-old girl. She showed them a possible bruise on her ribs, but authorities weren't able to positively identify it as an injury.

Bolton also showed police three images of child porn at that time. She said she waited to make the report because she was afraid of another attack from her husband.

During the investigation, police learned that Bolton's husband kicked her out of the house two days prior. Investigators then checked the metadata of the photos and found that Bolton downloaded the images to the phone on May 23.

After being kicked out, Bolton said she went to a motel in Oklahoma to meet a man she met off Craigslist. She said her and the man did meth together before she was kicked out of the room after an argument.

Bolton's husband and the 13-year-old girl have denied any sexual abuse occurred.

No trial date has been set at this time, but Bolton is free on a $75,000 bond.
