NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A judge has fined the director of an animal rescue group after being cited for operating an illegal shelter and possessing banned breeds.
Whitney Ransom, the director of Southern Paws Transport, received a $1,200 fine and was put on probation for a year. In September 2016, 13 dogs were seized by the city of North Little Rock.
Several animal advocates attended the hearing and they angrily objected to the judge's ruling.
The dogs were allowed to be moved to Cynder Creek Animal Rescue.
