CONWAY COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) -- Arkansas State Police are investigating how a Hot Springs woman died after being sprayed with pepper spray and shocked with a stun gun by deputies in Conway County.

It happened early Sunday morning near Springfield, north of Plumerville.

Deputies arrived at a home and ended up fighting with 36-year-old Regina Twist. The deputies said they used the spray and taser to get her under control and eventually got her in handcuffs. But they said she then became unconscious and died later at a local hospital.

The Conway County Sheriff wasn't available to comment Sunday night.
