One dead, 1 in custody after fatal Pine Bluff shooting

The Pine Bluff Police Department is investigating a shooting at an apartment complex that left one dead and another in custody.

UPDATE- The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney's Office says that a judge found law enforcement had probable cause to arrest Broady on charges of First Degree Murder and Possession of Firearm by Certain Person. He has a $250,000 cash bond. His next court date is January 25, 2019. 

ORIGINAL- The Pine Bluff Police Department is investigating a shooting at an apartment complex that left one dead and another in custody.

 At about 4:45 p.m. officers responded to calls of a shooting in a parking lot on South Olive Street.  When officers arrived they found two men, 26-year-old Daryll Broady and 29-year-old Brandy Crutchfield in the parking lot. Crutchfield had multiple gunshot wounds and was later pronounced dead at the scene. 

Broady was taken into custody and is being interviewed by detectives. Two pistols and several shell casings were recovered at the scene. The investigation is in the early stages, but it appears both men had an argument prior to the shooting.  At this time there are no other suspects are being sought. 

Pine Bluff police said that Broady is charged with possession of firearms now.
