From Fish To Fine Arts, Fun For All

The 10th annual festival is presented by Verizon Wireless.The morning starts in front of the Museum of Discovery with the 5K at 8 a.m.and the 1K Fun Run at 9 a.m. After the Dino Dash, contestants and their families can attend the Discovery Fest at the Museum of Discovery until 11 a.m. The festivities include food, face painting, games, dinosaur crafts and much more.Pinnacle Mountain Fishing DerbySaturday8 a.m. - 11 .am.Bring children 15 years and younger to the annual Kids' Fishing Derby at Pinnacle Mountain State Park. The event will include how-to-fish clinics and snacks. Prizes will be given away for catching the biggest fish and for the best line cast by age group, and random prizes will also be given away every fifteen minutes.Be sure to bring your own bait and tackle.
