LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas Democrats have re-elected Chairman Michael John Gray to a second term as head of the party.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports Gray was re-elected to a four-year term as head of the Arkansas Democratic Party on Saturday.

Republicans maintained their hold on all of Arkansas' congressional and constitutional offices in November's elections. Democrats picked up two seats in the Legislature but two others serving in rural House districts, including Gray, lost to Republicans. The result stopped a trend of Democratic losses in the Legislature over recent election cycles.

Gray was re-elected to the party post over challenges by two other Democrats, including Susan Inman, who fell short in her second campaign for secretary of state.

Earlier this month, Republicans re-elected Chairman Doyle Webb to his sixth term. Webb was unopposed.
