In this town bringing your kids to the ballpark is not something you do, it's a way of life. Generations young and old spend their summer nights eating sunflower seeds and watching their team compete on the field.
Head baseball coach Mike Moore has been apart of this tradition for years, he's seen generations come and go on these fields. "People just get real excited about it and they see the baseball and softball Yellowjackets doing well and that is their dream to be a Yellowjacket baseball or softball player.
Monday both the Sheridan baseball and softball team clenched spots in the 5A state championship games this weekend in Fayetteville. Sheridan hopes to add two more to the trophy case to pave the way for the next group of Yellowjackets. "Small town community like this, we all raise the kids."
