For the first time a native Arkansan will play for the Army West Point women's basketball team.
Bryant Junior McKenzie Muse has overcome a lot in her basketball career. Just a few days prior to her Sophomore season she tore her ACL and missed the year. "Our blue and white game and so we’re just scrimmaging and I tore it the first minute and just non-contact pop and it was just one of those fluke accidents."
A year later, McKenzie was back on the court for her Junior season and the scouts took notice, particularly the Army Black Knights.
"Once I visited the campus I knew it was for me" says Muse. Little did she know until her arrival that she will be the first Army women's basketball player ever from the state of Arkansas.
"I’ve always wanted to serve and be apart of something that is bigger than myself and I just realized that this was the place for me."
