Opitz powers Hogs to game two victory over Gonzaga

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Casey Opitz finished Friday a double short of the cycle as the 7th ranked Razorbacks took care of business against Gonzaga. 

The Razorback catcher finished the afternoon 3-4 with 2 RBI highlight by a two-run homer in the 7th inning to extend the Razorback lead 9-3. 

Optiz wasn't the only Hog seeing the ball well. Christian Franklin continues his hot start to the season going 2-3 with 2 RBI. Newcomer Robert Moore finished the day 1-3 with 2 RBI.

Connor Noland picked up his second win of the season tossing 6 innings giving up 3 runs on 5 hits with 3 strikeouts.

The Razorbacks improve to 5-0 on the season and will go for the series victory on Saturday afternoon with Patrick Wicklander on the bump.

Game 3 is set for 2:00 PM on the SEC Network Plus.
