HOOVER, Ala. (THV11) - Blaine Knight continued his dominance over the SEC Friday afternoon as the Razorbacks defeated Florida 8-2 to advance to the SEC Tournament semifinals.
Knight kept his undefeated record in tact (10-0) tossing 6.0 IP 4H, 1ER, and 4K on 99 pitches. The Razorback offense jumped out on the Gators in the 2nd inning behind a two-run HR by Casey Martin his 3rd of the tournament. Martin finished 2-4 with 2 RBI. Arkansas would add two more in the 6th to build a 4-0 lead.
Florida made things interesting in the 8th loading the bases to close the lead 4-2 before Matt Cronin's two strikeouts limited the damage.
Arkansas looking for insurance in the 9th got it in a big way. Hunter Wilson launched a grand slam to extend the lead 8-2. Wilson's first career home run. Wilson finished the day 1-1 with 4 RBI.
The Razorbacks will take on the winner of LSU and Florida Saturday afternoon in the semifinals.
