Pilot suffers non-life threatening injuries after crash in Eureka Springs

The pilot crashed shortly after take-off from the Silver Springs Aviation airstrip.

EUREKA SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) - The Carroll County Sheriff's Office and the Eureka Springs Fire Department responded to a plane crash at Silver Springs Aviation on June 14.

According to the press release, the crash happened shortly after take-off from the Silver Springs Aviation private airstrip. The plane landed approximately 75 yards East of the airstrip. and was intact after the crash. Though reports indicated smoke coming from the plane, there was no fire.

The pilot was transported to the Eureka Springs Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. She was the only person in the airplane.

The Federal Aviation Administration and National Traffic Safety Board will determine the cause of the crash.
