RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — Friday night the Russellville Cyclones officially retired Corliss Williamson's number 34 jersey.

Williamson's family unveiled the jersey that will hang in the rafters of Cyclone Arena. Williamson or "Big Nasty" one of the most decorated basketball players to ever come out of the state of Arkansas.

He most famously led Arkansas to their only national championship in 1994 before moving on to a career in the NBA that included an NBA championship with the Detroit Pistons in 2004.

Friday night Williamson says he was overwhelmed by the gesture of his hometown.

"Just the memories of love, I think about growing up as a kid here kind of a small town atmosphere. The fundamentals of basketball that I was taught and the fundamentals of life. It's just awesome to come back home and have this time."
