LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The Little Rock Trojans were looking to make it into the sweet 16 but were unfortunately swept away by a cyclone in Denver on Saturday.

A historic season came to an end on March 19 when the Trojans lost 78-61 against Iowa State. But with 30 wins, a regular season, a tournament title and a trip to the round of 32, fans are more than happy at the results.

"Get season tickets for next year, it's been wonderful. It's very exciting. We've got a lot of national exposure, and I'm looking forward to the next season," said one Trojan fan who attended a Trojan watch party in Little Rock on Saturday.

"We got a good thing going, and I think we may be better next year. I think we should give it one more year," said another UALR fan.

Fans are really hoping UALR Coach Chris Beard will stick around for next season. He is expected to be heavily discussed among the other candidates up for top coaching jobs.
