Cantrell Road in Little Rock is closed due to a water main break

Arkansas Department of Transportation has closed down Highway 10 or Cantrell Road due to a water main break.

UPDATE- Central Arkansas Water reports that the water has been turned back on as of 1 p.m.

ORIGINAL- LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - If you're driving down Cantrell Road, you'll need to take a detour.

The Arkansas Department of Transportation has closed down Highway 10 or Cantrell Road.

There was a water main break just east of Reservoir Road in Little Rock.

Traffic is being diverted to Reservoir Road currently. No word yet on what caused the water main break.

Doug Shackelford with Central Arkansas Water said, "There was a 12-inch water main break that runs underneath the westbound lane on Cantrell & Andover near Taziki's. We shut off the two westbound lanes, but we've diverted traffic into the turn lane around the break. We shut the water off. So, the roads are open, but it's slow traffic."
