Construction on Cantrell Road in Little Rock to cause long term lane closure

Construction on Cantrell Road will cause both east and westbound left turn lanes to close near Rodney Parham and River Mountain Road beginning Sept. 10.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — According to the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) construction on Cantrell Road will cause both east and westbound left turn lanes to close near the Rodney Parham and River Mountain Road intersection beginning Sept. 10, weather permitting.

"Drivers will be able to continue forward and turn right onto Rodney Parham and River Mountain Rd., but turning left will not be an option," ARDOT said.

"Eastbound and westbound Cantrell traffic will be free-flowing and will not stop at the Rodney Parham intersection. This closure will allow crews to begin constructing a  bridge with embankments over Rodney Parham Rd."

Traffic wanting to turn left westbound must take I-430 South to the Rodney Parham exit while eastbound traffic wanting to turn left onto westbound Cantrell must use a designated U-turn.

Interstate 430 traffic needing to access Rodney Parham should not take the Cantrell exit. Instead, use Exit 8, or the Rodney Parham exit.
