A significant weather advisory has been issued for Perry, Conway, Garland, Saline and Pulaski counties until 10:30 p.m.
At 9:45 p.m., the National Weather Service was tracking strong thunderstorms near Lake Ouachita State Park.
The storm was moving northeast at 50 mph.
Flying debris can be dangerous to those caught without shelter, according to the National Weather Service.
The counties are under a severe weather advisory until 10:15 p.m.
Clark, Garland, Faulkner, Hot Spring, Jefferson, Lonoke, Perry, Pulaski, Saline, and White counties are all under a tornado watch until 4 a.m.
