LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – It’s that time of the year again! Folks across the Natural State usually celebrate the 4th of July with fireworks, and THV11 is working to create a list of where Arkansans can enjoy a show.

Arkadelphia

July 4th Island Fest at DeGray Lake Resort State Park: You can enjoy traditional Independence Day games and activities, including a watermelon eating contest, kayak race, basketball shooting, water balloon games, lawn bowling, crafts, demonstrations and more. Activities culminate for those 12 and under with an Underwater Treasure Hunt in the lodge pool. The fireworks show will begin at dark on July 4. (501) 865-5810. Visit DeGray.com for more information. Benton

Independence Day Bash at Saline County Fairgrounds: Enjoy helicopter rides, bounce houses, a zip line, trackless train, photo booth, bounce houses and more. The first 300 kids ages 12 and under will receive a free Build-a-Bear ticket. Plus, starting at 5 p.m., families can listen to live music from local bands. Hot Springs

Independence Day Fireworks over Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs: You can enjoy the fireworks reflecting off the lake. 8 p.m. July 2. Visit HotSprings.org for more info. This event is free.

Fireworks at Lake Balboa in Hot Springs Village: A fireworks display is shown at the Balboa Pavilion at 9 p.m. 501-321-2835. Visit www.HotSprings.org for more info. This event is free.

Fireworks at Magic Springs & Crystal Falls: The park provides a fireworks display for parkgoers on July 3 and 4 at dusk. One-day admission is $39.99.

July 4th Events at Mountain Harbor Resort and Spa: There will be a patriotic program at 8:30 a.m. followed by Four-Wheeler Parade with decorated four-wheelers, golf carts and more. The fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. on July 4. (870) 867-2191. Visit MountainHarborResort.com for more info.

Jacksonville

Big Bang on the Range at Shooting Sports Complex in Jacksonville: Bring lawn chairs and blankets for lawn seating and a festive fireworks show. 6 p.m. July 4. (501) 241-2441. CityOfJacksonville.net. This event is free.

Little Rock

33rd Annual Pops on the River: The central Arkansas tradition includes free children's activities, a classic car show, a shopping marketplace, food trucks and lots of entertainment. 40th Fleet Feet Sports Firecracker Fast 5K: Firecrackers are given out to the first 50 men and first 50 women who cross the finish line. All kids ages 12 and under receive a medal. The children's age divisions are: ages 10 and under, and ages 11-14. The course begins at Kavanaugh and University and ends at War Memorial Stadium. $25 until July 2; $30 race day. Easter Seals Presents Fireworks Frenzy at Little Rock Marriott Grand Ballroom Terrace: You can enjoy the views of fireworks over the river from your very own seat. The event will benefit Easter Seals Arkansas. 8-11 p.m. July 4. $25; kids 12 and under are $10. (501) 227-3706. EasterSealsAR.com

Fireworks at Dickey-Stephens Park: The Travs will take on the Midland Rockhounds at 5:30 p.m. on July 4. Concessions are open throughout the evening. You can enjoy the fireworks from the ballpark stands. $6-$12; kids 4-14 are $4 & $5; add $1 day of game. 501-664-1555. Travs.com.

Frontier Fourth of July at Historic Arkansas Museum: Celebrate Independence Day as it was celebrated on the Arkansas frontier. The afternoon activities include an old-time patriotic parade, 19th century music, free watermelon and cold lemonade, and encounters with people from the past. Children can walk on stilts and play other pioneer games, and they'll be invited to take up brooms and wooden rakes to train with the militia. They will also have the opportunity to create flags, streamers and signs to use in the parade. 2-4 p.m. July 4. Visit HistoricArkansas.org for more info. This event is free.

Fun on the Fourth at Pinnacle Mountain State Park: Join park interpreters in the West Summit area for a day full of wet and wild games, including tug-of-water, water balloon volleyball, and relay races. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. July 4. July 4th at Wild River Country: Wild River Country honors active duty or veterans with free admission with a valid ID. One free ticket per armed force member. July 4th Children's Bicycle & Wagon Parade in Downtown Little Rock: The march begins at Spring & 20th Streets and ends at the Governor's Mansion where prizes are awarded to the best decorated bicycles and wagons. 10 a.m. July 4. Visit LR-DNA.com for more details. This event is free.

July 4th Fun and Games Day at Petit Jean State Park: There will be many family-oriented activities include a bicycle parade, contests and water balloon games. 8 a.m.-8 p.m. July 4. (501) 727-5441. Visit PetitJeanStatePark.com for more details. This event is free.

Maumelle

Maumelle 4th Fest at Lake Willastein Park: The 4th of July Parade begins at 4:30 p.m., the Cardboard Boat races begins shortly after at 5:30 p.m. There will be games, music and fun. Sherwood

17th Annual 4th of July Family Celebration at Sherwood Forest: You can get free hotdogs and enjoy entertainment, a kids zone, and fireworks display at 9 p.m. Free shuttle service from Sylvan Hills High School. 6-9 p.m. July 4. (501) 833-0476. CityOfSherwood.net. This event is free.
