A wolf escapes as Craig O’Neill reads to Clinton Elementary

Craig O'Neill takes us on his latest stop on his Reading Roadtrip to Clinton Elementary School.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The third graders at Clinton Elementary were shocked on Tuesday when Craig O’Neill read to them.

A wolf escaped from a book. In fact, that was the name of the book: “The Wolf That Falls Out Of A Book.”

In the story, a wolf falls out of a book and is alone in a children’s library. In his book he is ferocious, but in the library, he is helpless and about to be attacked by a cat. The story centers around the wolf trying to get back into a story before he’s eaten.

This was a picture book, even though third graders will be the first to tell you, they’re too old for picture books. That chapter books are more their style. We can testify that these third graders actually still enjoy a good picture book, especially when it’s a wolf trying to get back into a book!

Oh, and one of the teachers [Miss Neeley] ends up helping act out the story. May Tuesday’s adventure stay with them forever!
