Mother desperately pleads for answers to son's 2015 murder

"It's how I get through my day. I rub on my Bible and I turn to his picture and just say 'one day, one day we will definitely have answers,'” said Wilbert.

PINE BLUFF, Ark. — Hours have turned into days, days into months, and months to years for the Wilbert family.

A Little Rock mother, Sheila Wilbert, is broken with no answers to her son's murder.

"It's how I get through my day. I rub on my Bible and I turn to his picture and just say 'one day, one day we will definitely have answers,'” said Wilbert.

Wilbert has spent every day since her son's death clinging to faith.

"You just sit here and think what he would be doing now, but it was cut short,” said Wilbert.

University of Arkansas Pine Bluff student Keith Wilbert Jr. was gunned down in his off-campus home in September 2015.

He was described as a good kid -- focused and on path to graduating with an agri-business degree.

His case is left a mystery more than four years later, but Wilbert knows someone knows something.

"We don't know what happened that night. We don't know what happened,” said Wilbert. “The only people that know what happened was God and the people there in that house.”

The family's heard different rumors about what happened and who killed Keith Jr., but every lead has come up short.

"We are just really begging the public, put yourself in our shoes. Like I said once before, this could be your child,” said Wilbert.

The Pine Bluff police said the case is still open.

The family said there's still a $20,000 reward up for grabs leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

If you have any information about this case, please call the Pine Bluff Police Department.
