Red Cross assisting Pine Bluff families impacted by May 8 severe weather

The American Red Cross Greater Arkansas Chapter is working with the families living at Myranda Place Apartments in Pine Bluff impacted by Wednesday night's severe weather.

PINE BLUFF, Ark. — The American Red Cross Greater Arkansas Chapter is working with the families living at Myranda Place Apartments in Pine Bluff impacted by Wednesday night's severe weather.

All who were evacuated to the Pine Bluff Convention Center were able to secure housing overnight, and operations at the center ended around 11 p.m. Wednesday night, May 8 since no overnight shelter was needed.

Red Cross staff will be meeting with the families again today to determine individual emergency needs and will be meeting with Pine Bluff city leaders later this morning to assist with recovery efforts.
