Nearly 70 rescue guinea pigs need homes in Central Arkansas

The Guinea Pig Slave Shop makes products for guinea pig owners and operates a rescue near Little Rock.

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas — Guinea pigs are a popular pet for young children but not all families realize the responsibility.

Linda Jones saw a need for a local rescue and stepped up to provide one. She and her husband opened a guinea pig rescue near Little Rock.

Now, the rescue is caring for nearly 70 guinea pigs that are up for adoption. They come in all ages, colors and sizes.

If you want to support this rescue, find @iHeartCavies on Facebook or call (501) 993-4626.

Jones also offers boarding services for families.
