NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — According to North Little Rock police, a 2-year-old child and adult female are suffering from burns sustained during a disturbance with a neighbor.

Police responded to S. Laurel Street in reference to a disturbance at approximately 3:20 p.m. on June 28.

The dispute seemingly began over a gas can. The disturbance ended when the suspect, 75-year-old Elmer Cool, threw a 'Molotov Cocktail' on the front porch of the home where the woman and child were sitting.

Officers located Cool at a neighboring residence. He refused to exit the location and officers forced entry into the home.

As officers entered, Cool produced a can of deterrent spray. After a brief struggle, officers were able to take the suspect into custody before the deterrent was deployed.
