Little Rock AutoZone robbed at gunpoint by two suspects covered by bandanas, hoodies

On Sunday, officers were dispatched to AutoZone on West 12th Street in reference to a robbery.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — According to the Little Rock Police Department, on Sunday, Feb. 23, officers were dispatched to AutoZone on West 12th Street in reference to a robbery.

When officers arrive, they made contact with two AutoZone employees involved in the robbery.

The employees said they were at the counter when two suspects wearing all black, hoods on their heads and bandanas around their face entered the store, pointing a handgun.

The suspects demanded money from them and money from the safe in the back.

The 32-year-old male employee said he opened the cash register and handed one of the suspects the money while the other suspect reached in the register and grabbed money himself. The suspect then forced him to the ground and took the employee's wallet from his pants pocket.

Meanwhile, the suspect took the 61-year-old male employee to the back to open the safe. While the employee was trying to open the safe, the suspect hit him in the face several times because he was "moving too slowly."

The employee could not open the safe after multiple attempts, causing the suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction and vehicle.

Police have not released any information regarding details of the suspects at this time.
