North Little Rock Police discover dead body in vehicle, victim identified

Officers responded to the 2300 block of Franklin Street and discovered a dead body in a parked vehicle on Friday.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Update: The victim in Friday's suspicious death incident has now been identified as 67-year-old Susan Hall of North Little Rock.

The North Little Rock Police Department is investigating a death after responding to the 2300 block of Franklin Street in reference to a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Officers arrived on the scene at approximately 7:42 p.m. on Friday and discovered the suspicious vehicle parked in a driveway. The NLRPD said officers approached the vehicle and located an unresponsive adult black female inside.

Medical personnel responded and advised that the female was deceased.

Detectives with the North Little Rock Police Department were notified and responded to the scene to initiate an investigation. Detectives are currently processing the scene and conducting interviews. 

The body will be transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy to determine the manner and cause of death. 

The North Little Rock Police Department is not releasing the name of the deceased at this time, pending the notification of the next of kin, and is encouraging anyone who may have information regarding this incident to contact the North Little Rock Police Department Tip Line at (501) 680-8439 or Detective Gary Jones at 501-771-7151.
