On Monday, Sept. 23, at approximately 6:01 p.m., officers with the Hot Springs Police Department responded to a shooting on Chapel Street.
Upon arrival, officers located a male with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Cory Gibson of Hot Springs.
Detectives have developed a person of interest, more information will be provided as soon as it is available.
