LONOKE COUNTY, Ark. — The Lonoke School District has announced the closing of all Lonoke schools on February 6 and February 7 due to confirmed flu cases.
In a Facebook post, the school says, "We have found that, initially, the virus may or may not present with a fever, making it more difficult to identify early onset."
The district says all students are still expected to complete AMI work for the AMI days used Thursday and Friday. Extracurriculars will continue as planned.
Several central Arkansas schools have been closed in order to do a deep clean in an effort to disinfect the areas after a high percentage of staff and students have called in sick this flu season.
