Arkansas infielder Bri Ellis tabbed SEC Player of the Week

Ellis helped Arkansas win three of four games at the Razorback Rumble and led the team with a .636 batting average, seven hits and six RBI.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas infielder Bri Ellis was named the SEC Player of the Week after a productive performance during the Razorback Rumble at Bogle Park, where the No. 19 Hogs won three of four games.

Ellis led Arkansas with a .636 batting average, seven hits, and six RBI, along with a .643 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage.

Additionally, the Houston native was flawless at first base, collecting 24 putouts, one assist, one double play and a 1.000 fielding percentage.

During the Razorbacks' 7-4 victory over Northern Iowa on March 9, Ellis hit her team-leading eighth home run of the season, which ranks second in the SEC and No. 16 nationally.

Ellis sits among the conference's best in home runs per game (0.32 – No. 6), RBI (28 – No. 5), RBI per game (1.12 – No. 6) and total bases (54 – No. 5).

Arkansas starts SEC play on Friday with a three-game road series against Auburn. Coverage from Jane B. Moore Field begins at 5 p.m. on SEC Network+.
