Arkansas woman who has worked for J.B. Hunt for 25 years named 'Driver of the Year'

J.B. Hunt said this is not the first award she has earned as she has received "multiple regional driver-of-the-year and safety recognitions."

LOWELL, Ark. — Jodi Edwards has been named "Driver of the Year" by the "Women in Trucking Association."

Edwards has been working for J.B. Hunt for more than 25 years and is the company's first driver to receive this award.

J.B. Hunt said this is not the first award she has earned an award like this. According to the company, Jodi has received "multiple regional driver-of-the-year and safety recognitions." This January, Jodi accomplished "two million safe miles driven," J.B. Hunt said.

“I am greatly honored and humbled to receive this recognition,” said Jodi. "I do what I do because I love it, and I hope others will find as much joy and passion for being a driver as I have for decades.”

J.B. Hunt said Jodi has helped represent trucking as "a great opportunity for women."

“We are immensely proud of Jodi and the example she sets for our drivers and others in the industry,” said Nick Hobbs, chief operating officer and president of contract services at J.B. Hunt. "Her leadership speaks volumes to her integrity and professionalism, paving the way for her fellow drivers to follow.”
