BENTON, Ark. — Imagine knowing you were helping your local community with every cup of coffee you bought. That’s the entire concept behind Koffee With A Kause in Saline County!
After working for nonprofits that specialized in addiction recovery, owner Jared Voth wanted to address a problem he had become all too familiar with.
“While I was running the rescue mission so much of my day was spent just finding items to keep the men alive,” explained Voth. “I came up with the idea that if businesses could just offset something we could focus on our passion.”
Not finding a business, he set out to do it himself. Now the coffee shop that he and his wife run commits a portion of their profit to local nonprofits.
“I want people to know we care. There’s not a day that goes by that we don’t try to give back. It matters to us,” he added.
In addition to serving craft coffee drinks, they also roast their own beans in downtown Benton, which are also available for purchase to brew at home. This expansion also serves as an event space to learn about coffee origins.
Make no mistake about it, Koffee is the name of the game here, but their food menu is dynamite.
One of the most popular menu offerings is the “sweet baby cakes”. This dish begins with a large pile of miniature pancakes doused in tres leches sauce with bananas and strawberries. A delicious sweet breakfast!
If you’re looking for something more savory, or perhaps sophisticated, look no further than the croque madam. Served between toasted sourdough bread you’ll find ham, bechamel, Gruyère cheese, and an egg on top. It’s a magical combination of flavors that pairs nicely with a hot cup of coffee.
