A Cabot resident has been arrested for possession of child sexual abuse materials following a six-month-long investigation.

CABOT, Ark. — A Cabot resident has been arrested following a six-month-long investigation by local police and the Arkansas State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

Officials executed a search warrant at a residence in the Krooked Kreek subdivision in Cabot with assistance from Homeland Security Investigations.

While performing the search warrant, 35-year-old Randy Norris reportedly assaulted detectives and resisted arrest.

A forensic preview performed on a device seized from Mr. Norris's residence revealed at least five images of child sexual abuse materials.

He was taken into custody for possession of child pornography along with 2nd-degree battery. This investigation is currently ongoing and could potentially result in additional charges.
