FBI raid in Little Rock leads to arrest of woman on federal mail fraud, money laundering charges

Court documents say the woman lied about the number of employees she had and the amount of her payroll to obtain four different Paycheck Protection Program loans.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The FBI conducted a raid in Little Rock Thursday morning, which led to the arrest of a woman near Kavanaugh and the Heights.

According to court documents, investigators said Chandler Carroll was taken into custody for federal mail fraud and money laundering charges related to a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan.

Carroll is being accused of fraudulently taking out more than $2 million in pandemic money.

The money was authorized through the CARES Act for pandemic relief funds to assist businesses during the pandemic, and Carroll is being accused of inflating numbers for four businesses.

Documents said Carroll lied about the number of employees she had and the amount of her payroll to obtain four different PPP loans.

After getting the loans, court documents said Carroll bought a house on the White River in Baxter County, a Ford F150, an Explorer, a Rolex and diamond jewelry.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
