One dead after shooting in White County, officials say

32-year-old Mr. Brandon Stith has been arrested in connection with a shooting that took place on Y & Y Salvage Road.

WHITE COUNTY, Ark. — An investigation is underway after deputies with the White County Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting that left one dead on Sunday, March 31.

Officials responded to the Y & Y Salvage Road outside Judsonia, where they discovered a deceased white male, later identified as 20-year-old Xaivier Green, lying in the road.

According to reports from witnesses, an argument had occurred between Mr. Green and the resident of 188 Y & Y Salvage, 32-year-old Mr. Brandon Stith.

Witnesses also reported seeing Mr. Stith fire a pistol into the air before retrieving a rifle from the house and firing at Mr. Green in the roadway.

A search warrant was served on Mr. Stith's residence, and a pistol, rifle, and spent shell casings were collected as evidence.

Mr. Stith was arrested and charged with capital murder, aggravated assault, and tampering with physical evidence. He is currently being held at the White County Detention Center with no assigned bond.
