LRPD arrests man for possession of child sexual abuse materials, three other felony charges

A Little Rock man has now been arrested for possession of child sexual abuse materials among three other felony charges.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A Little Rock man has now been arrested for his involvement in the distribution, possession, or viewing of child sexual abuse materials, among other felony charges.

34-year-old Patrick J. Pettit was arrested after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received a cyber tip. This prompted agents with the Attorney General's Special  Investigations Division to execute a search warrant at Pettit's home.

As agents searched the home they found multiple weapons along with some "hallucinogenic mushrooms." The Little Rock Police Department was then called to make the arrest.

Pettit was taken into custody at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Center with 32 counts of distributing, possessing, or viewing child sexual abuse materials, and with three felony charges including trafficking a controlled substance, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, and maintaining a drug premises.

He is being held without bond.
