Man arrested for Bald Knob shooting death

A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred on Tuesday evening.

BALD KNOB, Ark. (KTHV) – A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred on Tuesday evening.

White County deputies responded to shots fired on Barber Road in Bald Knob around 5:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, deputies found 27-year-old Michael Gimondo of Searcy dead at the scene with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Joshua Curl, 33, of Bald Knob was arrested at the scene and is being held at the White County Detention Center on a $150,000 bond for a second degree murder charge.

Curl has a court date of March 7, 2017 at 9 a.m. at the White County Circuit Court.

This is an ongoing investigation, and awaits the filing of formal charges by White County Prosecuting Attorney Becky McCoy.
