Rolly Hoyt promoted to new THV11 10 p.m. co-anchor position

As legendary broadcaster Craig O’Neill signs off the air, THV11's Rolly Hoyt has been promoted to co-anchor of the 10:00 p.m. newscast beginning in 2024.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — THV11 announced this week that Rolly Hoyt will co-anchor the station’s 10:00 p.m. newscast beginning in January, as legendary broadcaster Craig O’Neill signs off the air.

Rolly, who has been with THV11 since 2013, currently serves as an anchor at 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., as well as on 6:30 Central, a program that often dives deep into current Arkansas stories.

When Rolly started at THV11, he produced newscasts before beginning to appear on air, offering his unique storytelling style. He soon became the station’s investigative reporter and in 2021, he was named evening anchor.

Rolly noted, “It’s an honor to take on this role. Since meeting Craig before joining the station, I’ve always identified THV11 with a spirit of ‘friends and neighbors sharing stories.’ I hope to continue that spirit when people join Faith and me at 10.”

He'll team up with co-anchor Faith Woodard and Chief Meteorologist Tom Brannon, both of whom he works alongside in early evening shows.

THV11 President and General Manager Marty Schack said, “We’re thrilled to promote Rolly to this important role at 10. He is an advocate for Arkansas communities and lives and breathes the ‘This Is Home’ mission of THV11.”

Before moving to The Natural State, the Massachusetts native worked primarily in sports reporting— specifically, horseracing— which, in part, helped bring his family to Hot Springs, where they still live.

His horseracing expertise is actually what connected him with THV11 many years ago.

At THV11, he’s covered a myriad of stories over the years. Many have even sparked change in Arkansas communities, like an investigation into vehicle crashes happening along US-70.

“Rolly connects with our audience in a way like none other. He listens to their stories and their concerns. He’s committed to seeking answers when needed and helping Arkansas become a better place through his platform,” said News Director Shayla Teater.

You can catch Rolly on weeknights at 10:00 p.m. and in the station’s early evening programs as well.
