White's walk-off double lifts No. 1 Arkansas over No. 8 LSU

Arkansas catcher Hudson White ripped a walk-off double down the left field line to help the No. 1 Razorbacks beat No. 8 LSU. Here's how it happened.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas catcher Hudson White was the hero in Friday's 4-3 victory in extra innings over No. 8 LSU at Baum-Walker Stadium in Fayetteville.

White stepped up to the plate in the 10th inning and ripped a walk-off double down the left field line to score Will Edmunson and help the No. 1 Razorbacks (22-3, 7-1 SEC) to a series victory over the Tigers (20-8, 2-6 SEC).

Arkansas and LSU each had nine hits. Second baseman Peyton Stovall led the Hogs with a 3-for-5 night, including 2 doubles and 1 RBI, while first baseman Ben McLaughlin and center fielder Will Edmunson finished with 1 hit and 1 RBI each.

On the mound, starting pitcher Mason Molina allowed 3 runs on 7 hits and had 7 strikeouts and 3 walks in 6 innings. Christian Foutch came on in Molina's relief and tossed two hitless innings before Gabe Gaeckle and Stone Hewlett closed things out.

Arkansas will look to complete the sweep over LSU on Saturday at 2 p.m. on the SEC Network+.
