LOUISVILLE, Kent. -- A radio station in Louisville loves Baby, It's Cold Outside so much that it played a 2-hour marathon of the song on Sunday.

WAKY teased the marathon on Friday, saying the station would play the classic Christmas song continuously from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Different versions of the 1944 song were played throughout the two hours.

The marathon came after the song made headlines when a Cleveland station pulled the song from its rotation. WDOK said listeners thought the lyrics hadn't aged well in the #MeToo era. Other stations around the country followed suit, pulling Baby, It's Cold Outside from their respective holiday playlists.

One California station pulled the song but brought it back last week after hearing from thousands of listeners. Station KOIT said in a release that it polled listeners, and "the vast majority consider the song to be a valuable part of their holiday tradition, and they still want to hear it on the radio."
