WASHINGTON — WrestleMania 41 is officially headed to Las Vegas.
Just one year after hosting the Super Bowl, Allegiant Stadium will be the site of the two-night professional wrestling behemoth on April 19 and April 20, 2025.
The company made the announcement during the 150th Kentucky Derby pre-race show on Saturday afternoon.
“We’re bringing the show of shows to Las Vegas,” Paul "Triple H" Levesque, WWE's Chief Content Officer said during the video reveal.
Nevada previously hosted WrestleMania IX in 1993 at Caesars Palace. It was the first WrestleMania to be held outdoors.
The announcement of next year’s WrestleMania in Sin City comes after word earlier this year that Minneapolis, Minnesota, had been a finalist to host the “Showcase of the Immortals.”
Usually World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) announces the next year’s host during WrestleMania events, which were held this year in Philadelphia during the first week of April. But WrestleMania 40 came and went without any news on where the festivities would be held in 2025.
WrestleMania XL was the most-successful and highest-grossing event in WWE history, according to the company.
There’s no word on why this year’s announcement was delayed. Last month, WWE president Nick Khan revealed WrestleMania 2025 wouldn’t be going head-to-head with the Final Four of the men’s March Madness tournament again. The Final Four next year is April 5 in San Antonio, Texas. In 2026, it’s April 4 in Indianapolis.
When Minneapolis was seen as a finalist to host WrestleMania, Minnesota Sports and Events told KARE 11 the economic impact of 2023's WrestleMania in Los Angeles was roughly $235 million. In comparison, the Men's Final Four in Minneapolis was $145 Million.
When do WrestleMania tickets go on sale?
According to Saturday's announcement, additional ticket details and event info will be released in the coming months. However, registration is now open online for details on pre-sale opportunities.
