Three accidents slow down traffic on Little Rock freeways as rain moves in

One accident has slowed down traffic on I-430 while two accidents on I-30 have created several backups.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — At least three accidents have slowed down traffic on interstates that go through Little Rock as rain moves through the state.

The first accident happened around 2:45 p.m. on I-430 near the Colonel Glenn exit going southbound, which slowed down traffic heavily. Traffic returned to normal as of 3:50 p.m. following a tow truck taking away the vehicle.

Then another accident happened on I-30 bridge over the Arkansas River around 3:10 p.m., which has traffic backed up all the way to the I-630 interchange. That accident was cleared and traffic was moving as of 4:30 p.m.

And then around 3:19 p.m. another accident happened around Roosevelt Road exit, where a car was stuck on the westbound side of traffic. A state police trooper responded to the scene along with first responders and traffic was moving normally around 4:13 p.m.

We will update this article once the traffic has cleared or any new information.
