CONWAY, Ark. — According to the Conway Police Department, there were multiple reports of downed power lines and trees throughout the city early Tuesday morning, May 3.
The severe weather caused over 5,000 power outages in Arkansas overnight, including over 100 in Faulkner County.
The Conway Transportation Department is currently setting up barricades in affected areas and working to clear the roadways.
Police say some of the areas affected need to avoid if at all possible are:
- College Ave & Mitchell St
- College Ave & Watkins St
- Museum Rd & Siebenmorgen Rd
