Swim beaches at Lake Dardanelle and Blue Mountain Lake closed because of E. coli levels

Two Arkansas swim beaches are closed after testing at above acceptable levels of E. coli.

UPDATE: One of two swim beaches has reopened as of July 6. The Corps of Engineers has reopened Piney Bay Swim Beach on Lake Dardanelle after it was retested and determined safe for public use.

ORIGINAL: Two swim beaches are closed because of E. coli levels in Lake Dardanelle and Blue Mountain Lake. They are closed until further notice.

Piney Bay Swim Beach on Lake Dardanelle and Waveland Swim Beach on Blue Mountain Lake are both closed.
