Triple homicide in Ark. still unsolved 4 years later

Alexis Crawford alongside her boyfriend Herman Hill was killed on May 6 four years ago

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Alexis Crawford and her boyfriend Herman Hill were killed on May 6 four years ago.

They were both shot to death, and their killer or killers are still on the run.

“Fun loving, loved her family,” said Shedreka Harris, Crawford’s cousin.

Crawford was 4 months pregnant at the time, making this case a triple homicide.

“Y'all killed a pregnant lady in front of her child, regardless of the circumstances, how cold could you be?” said Harris.

Crawford left behind three kids, including one who was in the mobile home when she was murdered.

“We were just glad that nothing happened to him,” said Harris.

Mark is 5 years old now and still remembers part of that day.

“We got him in school, I mean he's coping,” said Harris.

The mobile home where Hill and Crawford were found 4 years ago has since been torn down. The land where the home used to sit on along Reed Road in the Crystal Hill neighborhood remains empty.

“That was like the worst day. I mean we've lost people but not like that, not in a tragic manner like that,” said Harris.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office has been on this cold case since day one.

“He either knew the individuals that were at the front door or was aware that someone was coming over,” said Sgt. Mike Blain, PCSO detective.

Sgt. Blain told THV11 that cases turn cold after a year with no leads, but even though they're cold, they are still active.

“Our agency is devoted to our cold cases and we keep them alive,” said Sgt. Blain.

Time is not necessarily hurting the investigation.

“We're getting smarter, technology is getting smarter, and that's what is going to help us out in the long run,” said Sgt. Blain.

Advances have happened in solving the crime, especially through social media as people post about it online. It can sometimes help with leads.

“Looking at social media transmissions between people, that's really important,” said Sgt. Blain.

The Crawford family is confident that this case will be solved.

“Keep the faith every day,” said Harris.

Detectives said they believe narcotics may have been involved in the motive.
