NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The biggest debate is going on around my household— who has the best local wings? Let me tell you right now, S & K Wings out of North Little Rock may just be the winning ticket!
Husband and wife Shannon and Karoma established S & K Wings in 2019, and as Shannon explained, "We got the bug to purchase a food truck and see what it does, and we’ve fallen in love.”
Karoma left his corporate job and dedicated his full time to S & K Wings since the cooking process is a full-time job.
“The wings, it’s a marinating process. It all starts the night before washing and cleaning them. You season them up and get them in the refrigerator so they can get marinated. The chicken tenders are hand-breaded. They’re all white tenderloin meat. We do have fried catfish, they’re hand-breaded and farm-raised. We also have fried homemade sweet potato pie that I make from scratch,” he described.
The two have also been very active in the community, and always work to help out those in need.
"Helping out folks who are looking for a second chance. You guys have been able to feed them and provide for them, also being able to talk about how successful you two have become.” Shannon added. "We’ve made meals on site, and we’ve been able to feed the homeless and the community and we just love that.”
The menu features an amazing variety of wings, but the top seller is the lemon pepper wings. However, you can also get honey mustard, honey BBQ, and the classic hot. If you're looking for something other than wings you can also get the delicious fried catfish.
Finally don't forget about the incredible dessert, homemade deep-fried sweet potato pie that is made from scratch by Karoma.
