SHERWOOD, Ark. — An Arkansas man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison in the case of a deadly hit-and-run that took the life of a man roughly 3 years ago.
Cecil Daren Ferrell, the man accused of the deadly collision, was arrested by police in early 2020.
Ferrell faced charges for both negligent homicide and leaving the scene, and he pleaded "no contest" in September. He could have received up to 42 years if he was found guilty.
The victim of the tragic hit-and-run incident was John Mundell, whose wife described him as being an "avid rider."
The incident happened when John was riding his bike around Sherwood in July 2019.
