North Little Rock police arrest suspect for shooting, robbery

One suspect is in custody in North Little Rock after robbing a person at gunpoint and killing another in the parking lot of the Rose City Shopping Center.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — One suspect is in custody in North Little Rock after robbing a person at gunpoint and killing another.

On the night of December 20, officers were flagged down by an individual stating he had been robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of the Rose City Shopping Center located at 4109 East Broadway Street.

Upon arrival, officers were able to locate an individual matching the description of the suspect.

As an interview was being conducted with the suspect, additional responding officers discovered 32-year-old Eulius Williams suffering from at least one gunshot wound lying in the parking lot. 

The victim was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives with the North Little Rock Police Department were notified and responded to open a homicide investigation. 22-year-old Nathan Whitmore of North Little Rock was later identified as a suspect in connection with the homicide. 

Whitmore has been charged with one count of capital murder and one count of criminal attempt to commit capital murder and aggravated robbery. He is currently being held without bond.

The victim's name is not being released at this time, pending the notification of the next of kin.
