FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — This Friday is Valentine’s Day and with it brings back a match made in heaven, Arkansas baseball and Dave Van Horn.

Dog piles and Gatorade baths have become as normal in Northwest Arkansas as Wal-Mart of Tyson. The expectation for every Razorback fan has become a trip to the College World Series every summer. "We don’t really have to talk about expectations. It is what it is, you came to the University of Arkansas."

Entering his 18th season as head coach Dave Van Horn has taken his Alma Mater to new heights. Back-to-back college world series appearances now seeking an unprecedented third trip in 2020.

"We don’t talk about Omaha around here, there’s a sign here or there or there’s shirts running around town that say Omahogs but as far as putting them around the locker room or the dugout we don’t do that."

Arkansas is picked to win the SEC West by the league's coaches and features four preseason All-SEC 1st Team members.

Football has been king since the glory days of 1964, not to mention fans rolling’ with Nolan in 1990's. But my generation we’ve hung our hat at Baum-Walker Stadium. "Obviously I feel like we’re an incredible track school. Basketball has had some great years and I truly believe we’re on our way up in football to make a move. I’m a Razorback fan. I’m a fan of our players and I tell them that all the time. When the game starts it’s all about you."

Heading into the 2020 season Razorback baseball is at an all-time high. In large part to the man that is now considered the G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time) on campus.

"Well you know it’s been great, going out and about in the community. People recognize you being somewhere for 18 years, we’ve been on T.V. a lot lately and we’ve won a lot and it’s been really fun to be apart of."
